Outlook: Last year was a whirlwind of emotions for the Hall-Southington hockey community and Head Coach Brian Cannon. After the nightmarish summer Cannon had leading into last season, his Warrior-Knights really gave him one heck of a gift by putting together their best season as a Co-op, winning 13 games, earning the 3-seed in the state tourney, and in relative cruise control until the shutdown. Cannon also earned CTHSHockey Division III Coach of the Year. Luckily, many of the bodies that got them to that point are back this year. Seniors Duncan Hollander (18 G, 23 A, 41 Pts) and Sean Roach (11 G, 11 A, 22 Pts) ranked first and second on Hall-Southington in scoring last year. For Hollander, his 41 points were good for 7th out of all Division III players and 5th out of players returning this year. On the back-end, Hall-Southington took a bit of a hit losing Cam Perez to the USPHL but they return the supremely dependable senior Tom Nardi and the offensively-inclined junior Cody Brew (7 G, 15 A, 22 Pts). In net, Hall-Southington brings back one of Division III’s strongest goalies in senior Noah Behrens-Gould. All in all, this looks like a solid group that should be among some of the stronger clubs in the CCC South this year.
